In collaboration with the Blaffer Art Museum, James Pickens’ narrative work uses music and film to investigate change, asking what lies at the core of desire at a given moment. Whether it be a desired experience, material item, or state of being, this project asks why and what could be on the other side.

"Portal 1: My World" is a narrative film that explores a parallel universe much like the twilight zone, that gives insight into James' artistic universe.
